Maximize pref night??
by: :/I have KD and ADPI left. I want KD but I am freaking out bc they said I might still get ADPI if I maximize my options. Should I risk it and only placed the house I want? Anyone ever done this and got their #1choice? ADPI is great but I just don't see myself there and pls don't say to try it out I just don't want them.

if you single intentional bid and just put one chapter, then you will go at the BOTTOM OF THEIR LIST and most likely get dropped from the process!! It will hurt your chances. Make it clear to the chapter that you want that you want them and found your home there, and make it clear to the chapter that you dont want that you do not want them. Good luck for tomorrow!

@stalker I’m pretty sure she never said she was “too good” for them, she said adpi was a great house but she didn’t see fit. It happens to a lot of girls

That is absolutely NOT true. I was a chapter President here & did our bid list with advisor & rush chair. The chapters DO NOT know if you SIP (unless you’re dumb enough to tell the girl who’s preffing you). There is no “automatic go to the bottom of the list.” I actually know a few girls in our chapter who SIP’d and got bids. However you do still statistically have about a 1 in 3 chance of not getting a bid at all when you SIP.
You are right about one little thing - if you list both chapters that is called “maximizing your options”. If both houses fill to quota before a pnm gets a bid, then they are usually hand matched to their #1 choice, it’s like an extra chance to get your #1.
