It makes people feel good about themselves—hey, you got up early on a Sat morning, ran a 5K and now you helped raise almost $95,000 for kids. Most groups do this.

i've seen this happen at lots of events... pretty sure its normal. and hey, they raised lots of money, does that bother you?
