during rush week (specifically, the 1st 2 days) how do you know if a sorority likes you or not? I've heard some tamu sororities have "tells" that can help you determine if they are interested

Maybe there are some things in other chapters, but I can say that in our house, we basically wrote down quick things we thought about the girl we talked to. We turned those in at the end and that’s part of how we knew if we wanted them back. We also do lots of research on girls before they come in. Obviously, if they are a legacy or someone that others in the house already know, that helps keep you in consideration. I remember going through another house that I really loved and meeting the president and I thought that meant something. I was cut the next day. So don’t overthink it. Focus on who’s you’re speaking with and how you click. Some of the houses that were considered top tier didn’t feel comfortable to me and some on the lower tier felt way more easy to get along in.

Yes please don’t overthink it. Try to be positive and focus on good conversations.

That said, I was told and know that sororities rank you by rooms. That you have a better rank if you are in a certain part of the house. Others just do it alphabetically to rooms, by hometown, or every other girl goes into a diff room to space out.

Time is another consideration. If you are one of the first girls out of th house, it isn’t because you aren’t liked. It’s because you are likely one of the last into the house bc alphabetical order and thus also our first to leave. I went to a house, thought I had great convo, was the last to leave and got cut the next day.

If you focus on these “hints”, they’ll hurt your experience because in most houses these little things don’t mean anything.
