by: wondering

what do y’all think are the “best” ones, and what makes/has made them that way? also what about the physical houses and dues ?
on the fence if i should rush next fall, i know it’s a long time away but thought i’d just ask to get an idea of what being a greek here is like

It's called "Greek Rank".

"Best" depends on your preferences. Everyone's opinions will be different when it comes to what sorority is the best. As far as houses for sororities, I would just drive down sorority row and see which one you like. The Zeta house is the newest, so it might be the most appealing as far as curbside appeal. Tri Delta, Delta Gamma, and Kappa Delta are all huge, but they are on the newer side as well. Delta Zeta was the first house built on the row, so it is not as big, but the fact that it set precedence for the other houses is something to factor in. Social standings do not really apply to who you hang out with. I do not hang out with only my sisters. I hang out with other Greeks and non-Greeks. I would never talk to someone and say oh you are so below me because they are in a sorority I do not perceive as great. Plus, everyone is going to be biased to their sorority or the sorority they hang out with most if they are in a fraternity.

NO - Chi O, ADPi, Kappa, Theta, AGD, Alpha Phi all had houses before DZ. That’s why they aren’t in Athens Drive.

“Best” is pretty subjective honestly here... there’s so many of sororities & frats with each having plenty of pros & cons.
In the end, we’re all Aggies anyways

same, im still on the fence rushing as a sophomore as well, not sure if the whole “pledgeship” is worth it for fraternities

@YeahSame
Well each frat’s pledgeship is different but the bigger and tops frats will have the hardest pledgeships and strongest brotherhood too...in my opinion it seems more worth it to earn membership than simply just joining a men’s org like any other club, but mens org guys are just as cool!

But for a mid-size, not-top-frat, like DTD?

Go men's org all-day-long. Either way, bunch of goobers.
