what is rush like?

I was wondering how competitive rush is here at A&M? Do most girls have a shot at each house and will truly be put where they belong, or are there top houses that are definitely out of reach for the average girl? Do legacies/connections act as the end-all be-all for who will be in what house? Thank you for your responses!
