Pretty sure that's like "if you can't go Greek go TKE," just a joke that happened to stick. They're called Tri-Delt, so of course someone clever came up with a joke. I doesn't necessarily reflect reality, just a name.

Like easy DZ, or DG nothing goes down like an anchor. They're all just kinda BS jokes. Hell I've probably made them before, but you have to be kind of dumb to actually buy into it.
