wanting to switch fraternities

So I recently joined a fraternity that is currently not in the IFC. I feel like I was never really told the whole story and now I feel tricked. I'm already initiated but is there any way I can still rush the IFC since this fraternity is not in IFC. I'm just really upset how these guys tricked me and I want to be in a real fraternity instead of laughed at

It'd help if you mentioned which frat you joined that's "not IFC". There's things as official "colonies" which are new frats that don't have their national charter yet, so because no of that they're not on IFC here yet.

Probably not, sigep has been on ifc until now with their suspension (not even kicked off ifc since never lost charter) . OP said that recently joined so probablly this semester and it's probably TKE or even Chi Phi maybe
