Things to expect with moving to Portland for college?

I plan on moving to Portland to go to the University of Southern Maine, what are some things to expect/look out for? Also what does accessibility look like on campus and in the city? I'm a disabled 17 (will be 18) year-old and this will be my first time living away from home in the midwest, so I just want to be prepared
