syrian-american rushing

I’m rushing at LSU in the fall and so far I’ve heard pretty much nothing but good things about all of the sororities, except someone mentioned to me that Tri Delt uses 50% of all philanthropy money to support Bashar al-Assad’s regime in Syria. How do they feel okay doing this and is this just their LSU chapter or is it a national policy of theirs? As a Syrian-American girl this is a little off-putting for me, but I understand if there’s a legitimate reason for it.
