I was wondering with recruitment being so hot if wearing some of the great new braid styles would be appropriate? It can withstand the heat but I didn't know if people would think it was too informal? Thank you for helpful guidance.

Braids can be a tricky thing right now. Personally, I think they look cute. But there are people that would consider it "cultural appropriation" and you risk offending some people. I would give it a skip during rush.
