rushing as a sophomore into a fraternity
by: boomer5I would possibly like to rush next fall, I know some people in Lamba Chi Alpha so I feel as that is one I should really see about but which fraternities should I also keep an eye on? Then is it different rushing as a sophomore?

Lambda is definately the most competitive house to get a bid from. Probably 95% of rushees have Lambda Chi as their #1 goal, since they probably take 10% or less you should definately have a backup. However if Lambda gives you a bid You won the lottery!

Agree Lambda Chi is the most prestigious fraternity at OU and has been for decades. If you know people there that helps. When I went though rush probably 90% of my fellow rushees had Lambda Chi as their goal but I heard they give bids out to less than 10% of rushees. You should have a backup plan since as mentioned most don't get bids. Some good BACKUP choices would be Beta, Sig Ep, FIJI. Unless you get randomly stopped and asked if you are signed with a agent, have girls all over you like bees to honey, have the body of a greek god,, are a model you probably don't have much of a chance and have to settle for one of the lower houses as mentioned above.
