These guys are where it's at. First place homecoming and u-sing. Also the sweetest, most genuine guys out there. They don't need excessive alcohol to justify themselves either.

People seem to dismiss BYX because of two reasons… First they don’t have a house. Sure that sucks but honestly that’s not what makes a fraternity a fraternity, plus it makes it cheaper and makes for an easier pledeship (they’ve also gotten very close to getting a house several times the past few years so I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens soon). The second thing people dismiss them for is that they think they don’t drink. I can tell you with a certainty that is not true. While they won’t be drinking at any official events, there are plenty of unofficial BYX parties that can be pretty fun (the only time I’ve genuinely been concerned about someone getting serious alcohol poisoning was at a BYX guys post-date party party. As I understand it you’ll really only get in trouble for drinking if the wrong people catch you during pledgeship. But what’s also great about BYX is that if you choose not to drink they love you all the same and you'll have plenty of people around you who also choose not to drink. It’s a real fraternity, wish I’d given them more of a chance when I rushed.

What makes BYX so unique and top tier is that their boys can have genuine fun without alcohol. Hard to find guys like that now.
