does dg have to give me a bid?

Hey guys, I'm a legacy of DG. I noticed at Mizzou (according to their GR page) that DG is supposedly required to give legacies a bid. Is that a national thing or just at Mizzou?

Legacy status will definitely help you, but it does not guarentee you anything. It also depends on whether you are a chapter legacy or not.

Legacies are given special consideration throughout recruitment, but there is no way they are required to bid anyone just because their relative was a sister. Yeah that person was a fit once upon a time, but hat doesn't mean the girl going through recruitment now is. Besides, if every DG chapter everywhere took every legacy, can you imagine how crazy that would be? There would barely be any new blood!
