How does the first year process go for Colonizing sororities? Do they get to do swaps and stuff?

I don't known for sure, but if their colonization is anything like Adpi's was, then their first year should be really exciting!

ADPi had an information tent set up in the grove their first year. This was just for the first round. Then they dropped out of formal recruitment and had their informal recruitment the week after formal.

They took over 300 new members. I remember being in the grove on their bid day cheering on all the girls! Most sororities were present for this exciting day. There were no tears! Only happy girls!

They swapped with all the top fraternities their first year and had tons of joint events with other sororities.

I can't wait to colonize!! I was unfortunately not able to rush my freshman year, and due to some family issues,I wasn't able to really be involved regardless my freshman year, and I'm hoping this will be a chance for me to be involved!!

That's kind of presumptuous. Why would you assume they are just going to hand out bids like candy?

Get excited about going through recruitment, don't make any assumptions until after you have a bid in your hand.

When APhi recolonized at Bama seven years ago, over 400 girls interviewed for a colony class of 211.

Well, my apologies for wording it like that.

First year ADPi swapped with all the top fraternities. I don't think they were as lucky their second year.
