adpi ranking?
by: RusheeHi I'm going through recruitment this fall and I'm soooo excited! I was wondering about the adpi sorority rankings on here. A girl from where I live is an adpi and she is smart and really cool and her Facebook pictures all look really fun and cute. But on here everyone says that adpi is lame and for girls with low gpas? I've asked her about adpi before and she describes it as being great, but no one seems to agree. So is she lying or is adpi actually good???

ADPi is brand new at Ole Miss. THey just came back to campus last fall after closing several years ago. They are still finding their footing and making their own reputation on campus. They don't have a house yet, but will be breaking ground on a brand new house soon.

It is way too early to tell. They were brand new last year. They picked up lots of girls who were dropped from formal recruitment for a variety of reasons, grades being just one of those reasons. They also picked up standards risks and upperclassmen.
They were lucky last year because they were a colony. They got to swap with all the top fraternities. They won't be so lucky this year. They will have to convince the fraternities to swap with them, just like the rest of us.
They are a hodge podge of mixed girls who really don't have as much in common as some of the other sororities. There are also quite a few of non traditional girls in ADPi as well.
There is one thing I know for sure, they got more respect than theta.

Yes, your comments did hit a nerve. Just because that is your opinion, for whatever reason, it does not make it the truth. Theta is a strong chapter that is filled with some really great ladies that are driven and love their house. Theta did the unthinkable in 1978-came on a campus where many other sororities had been for 80 years and had generations of legacies and established a strong chapter and made history quickly by becoming a strong middle tier contender alongside PiPhi, Kappa, PhiMu, & DG. The chapter had a homecoming queen from Jackson MS within 7 years of chartering! So the chapter had a few rough years a little bit back....they are recovering well and working hard. Respect is due. Please be kind. I am not tearing your house down or any others for that matter.

^^^ pods.... Um, more respect than Theta? No, just no. Just stop already! I am sure ADPi is starting well, but there is no reason to throw in such a rude, unrelated comment that does nothing but tear down a house full of awesome girls that are trying hard to turn things around- and doing a great job of it too I might add. Please, state your positive remarks and move on. Encourage and uplift!
