dirty rushing

Apparently there is a chi o mom from Houston who has been contacting all the Houston moms of daughters going through rush telling them not to worry, chi o is giving bids to their daughters. Some of the girls are getting excited, some are upset thinking this mom is ruining their chances with other houses, and girls who's moms aren't getting rushed by this mom are getting upset.
The whole think stinks and I can't believe this is being allowed yet another year!
Panhellenic needs to do an investigation and interview all girls coming from Houston for the past three years.
I believe there used to be a KD alumni doing the same thing several years ago, but apparently kd shut her down. Chi O needs to do the same!

Kappa and pi phi are about the same.
Not sure if pi phi considers granddaughters legacies.

You would have to check with each group on what they classify as a legacy. Most include daughters, granddaughters and sisters. Each group has their own definition for step relationships. A legacy is someone who's family member is a member of that organization. It doesn't matter what school. If any additional "special" treatment is given up and above a legacy for a legacy from Ole Miss, that is defined by each individual group. Many do not.

I think I know this mom, and she is harmless. She promotes Panhellenic spirit and encourages girls to go Greek, not necessarily chi o.
In Texas, kappa/pi phi/theta are very popular. If you go to UT, those are the top followed by xo and Ddd. Kd and dg are low tier at UT.
Girls from Houston gravitate towards kappa and pi phi at ole miss because those are the sororities many of their friends go back home. They also like xo because this mom is so encouraging.
I don't know a single tri delt from Houston, so I doubt the op is a tri delt, and kd is only popular with the private schoolers who like to party. Xo gets the private schoolers who like to study. There is really no competition.
Like I said earlier, she is harmless. If she hasn't been in contact with you, it's seriously no big deal. Houston girls don't really go xo that much anyway!

Maybe because it keeps happening and chi O does nothing to stop it.
Houston has over 100 girls going through this year. I'd say Houston is pretty relevant.
Kappa and pi phi get some of their best girls from Texas every year.
