IU Kokomo is a smaller commuter-focused campus in north-central Indiana, part of the Indiana University system, and its Greek community reflects that intimate, close-knit environment. There's one active fraternity and one active sorority operating here right now — Phi Kappa Tau on the fraternity side and Phi Sigma Sigma on the sorority side — which makes this one of the more compact Greek setups you'll find in the state.
Because IUK draws a lot of commuter students and nontraditional undergrads, Greek life isn't the center of campus social culture the way it might be at a large residential flagship school. It's more of a smaller, tight-knit community within the broader campus. Philanthropy and service events are typically how these organizations stay visible on campus, and both Phi Kappa Tau and Phi Sigma Sigma have national philanthropic focuses that local chapters carry on at their respective schools.
The Greek council structure at IUK is modest — with just these two organizations, you're not looking at a full IFC and Panhellenic setup operating at scale. But both organizations are affiliated with established national councils, so they operate under recognized governance structures even if the local chapter footprint is small.
