Quit making things up. This is totally untrue. Why are you so bitter that you have to run this campaign of hate against our great new sorority? Mad you didn't measure up for a bid.

I know 2 women who went to pref and did not get a bid (I have no reason to think they are lying.) I also know several legacies who did not go through formal recruitment because their moms were involved in reestablishing the chapter and all felt that had been told there was a place for them.

Colonies are just like regular recruitment. Not everyone who goes to pref gets a bid. Most legacies don't get a bid. It's really weird to me that you people think they should have taken just anyone because they're new. They have a right to be selective and based on what I've seen they did a really good job. Personally this campaign of hate sounds like some people who are just mad they didn't get in.

Not for colonies. If you make it through the interview process to pref, you normally get a bid. I have several friends at other universities and no one's ever heard of a colony not extending bids to everyone they invite to preference. Weird

This isn't true. Evey sorority does colony selection different. It's just like recruitment. Not everyone who goes to pref gets a bid. Not all legacies get a bid. It's their business and this ridiculous campaign of hate needs to stop. You're just looking like a bitter mess.

Well I just asked three different friends who went through colonies at other schools (Ole Miss, Arkansas and FSU) and every one of them said there were girls at preference who were not given bids. None of those were Sigma Kappas either so you are obviously wrong about everyone going to preference getting bids elsewhere. You all need to stop with the incorrect information and ridiculous gossip. You're acting like a new sorority should take everyone. I think they are smart not to. Being very selective will get them off to a strong start. Or maybe that's what you're upset about.

Do you think DPhiE has no standards and should take anyone else's rejects? You keep acting like there was no reason SK didn't take those people. There are probably some really good reasons they didn't get bids but your're acting like SK rejected all these perfect girls (many of whom already were dropped by everyone else during recruitment.) it's awful for you to say DPhiE would just take them. They're in a bad situation but they aren't going to get out of that by taking just anyone.

Why do you feel the need to call them rejects? I think the poster made a decent suggestion and you could have reminded her that yes they should go check out what dphie has to offer but a bid is not guaranteed. It's doesn't cost anything to be nice

I think it's people just trying to be manipulative and setting up drama for entertainment. Ridiculous. It's a new sorority. Let them do what they need to do to get established. I'm embarrassed for IU.

They have a Facebook page and Instagram. And I'm guessing she means Theta...
