certain gpa i should aim for sophomore rush

I'm rushing as a sophomore is there a certain gpa I should try to get so my chances are better for getting into a house

You should be aiming for the best GPA you can regardless of rush....

Last year I was told 3.2 minimum and some (but not most) still cut if it's under 3.5.
