How hard is it to get in PI phi or tri delt? I'm

It's way too soon for you to be thinking about this stuff. Every top tier pledge class will be half filled before rush even starts with friends from high school, then they will all take a few rich legacies. That leaves about 20 spots for everyone else, out of the 2,000 girls who sign up for rush. I know you say you're not closed minded, but so many girls go into rush with the idea that "having an open mind" means being open to a middle tier house, as if that's the worst case scenario. You will be lucky to get a bid anywhere and if that happens to be tridelt or piphi then congrats, but I just don't want you to spend the next 7 months fantasizing about being in a house that drops the majority of girls after 22 party.

if you are asking this question, then you obviously dont have an open mind. every house is hard to get into. Every girl wants to get into a good house, but until you go through rush you won't know which houses you actually like. I was a Tri-Delt legacy and ended up not really feeling like i would like living there. Not that the girls weren't nice, you just find your fit with a certain house. I knew that I wouldn't fit in at tri delt, so i kept my mind open to other houses.
So stop worrying and let the process do its thing

Nobody said she wouldn't get in, they just said it's dangerous to be focusing in on any chapter (especially the really competitive ones) this early on. Because other than that the only advice we can give on "what it takes" is to be very attractive, have nice clothes, have friends in the house, and pray the people you get rushed by like you. My intention was not to "put you down" out of jealousy, but actually to help you because I know many girls who started obsessing about rushing top tier houses early on, only to get their soul crushed when they got dropped from rush. Some even transferred schools. I sincerely hope you end up in a house you are happy with, whatever that may be. Good luck :)

Listen, the girl who originally asked the question about what it takes to get into pi phi or tri delt didn't ask for a lecture about keeping an open mind and all the reasons why she WONT get in. Who knows, maybe she is actually prettier than you and will get in but wants to make sure she doesn't screw it up. Stop putting her down just because you didn't get in or don't like girls in those houses
