How important is social media

I'm a freshman getting ready for sorority rush. How important is my social media really? Are they checking everyone's accounts? Is it followers that are important or just having good content? Should I make my account public just in case?

Yes we look. 100%. We want to see how you present yourself and if you have anything that makes you look sloppy posted. How many followers is important but not as much.

Of course we look, just like a prospective employer will. If you think it will help you (you're cute, have good style, look involved) make it public. If you don't have a good insta make it private.
