New frats at IU

by: ifc

Its great that so many of IU's original fraternity are coming back, delts and Ksig this year and it won't be long until acacia and sigma pi come back as well. Rush here is way too competitive and a lot of great guys are overlooked just due to space. looking forward to the future of greeklife at IU

Yeah, it will be cool opening up another 100+ spots every rush cycle, and have more distribution in greek life.

It sucks when you want to be in greek life and can't be in it, due to how competitive it is.

I'm excited to see what the future holds.

On this site, there is obviously a lot of talk going on with the Delts, but people haven't been around long enough to understand one key thing. Delts, before they left, were right there with the blue blood frats of IU, like Fiji and Beta.

With their house back this year, they will slowly start putting together some quality PCs. Maybe not at first, but it only takes a year or two (2-4) PCs to really change the direction of a fraternity.

Once they reach the mid tier (usually determined by pairs and overall view of the fraternity by others), it will be quite easy to climb a little bit higher to upper mid, given their history, quality nationals, and house with more and more quality guys getting in.

If you are looking to rush in the fall, and have not had much luck so far, it definitely is worth checking out.

Like the last guy said, it does suck when you want to be in Greek Life, but can't
