Ranks don’t matter

So how does ranking work? Is it just because someone said so? It used to be “pairs” and other things. Now it’s just anyone with a keyboard. We all know it doesn’t matter - right? And if your house posts a lot you appear to go higher and if you don’t you’re “falling”. It’s so clear who pumps and ranks and who doesn’t
