Why didn't me or my friends get picked?
by: Sad PNMMe and my friends are very pretty and normal but none of us got asked back by most of the top or upper mid sororities. I felt like I had great conversations with the girls, but its hard not to be discouraged. The only houses I got back were DG, DZ, AGD. These are great houses and I'm still very excited to finish recruitment but I'm feeling like I'm not good enough for the upper mid and top sororities. I know we are supposed to stay off greek rank but I'm scared people will think I'm weird because I'll only have the chances of getting into the "lower mid" sororities. What did I do wrong? I feel like I'm very funny and a good friend and I tried to show that in my interview.

It can feel really disappointing, but it’s all a numbers game. I’m sure the chapters you talked to really liked you, maybe they just felt that you would be happier somewhere else. The same thing happened to me when I went through recruitment. And just because these houses aren’t “top” houses, does not mean they aren’t great! Every chapter is great in its own way and you will end up in the one that is meant for you!

I'm not trying to sound conceited its just sad when you put so much effort and feel like you really vibed with someone and they drop you with no explanation. not only once but for it to happen from most of the sororities is disappointing. You dont have to be rude about it I was just asking what I could've done wrong and saying that I feel I'm pretty normal not weird or awkward or anything.

“Top tier” and “lower tier” is nothing but a score sheet disgusting boys put up to degrade sorority women. The chapters that you listed above are GREAT chapters. Panhellenic is not about being on top, it’s about finding life long friends and a place you can call home. Focusing on the tier system will only give you tunnel vision and make this a bad experience for you.

I understand being sad or let down, rush is not an easy process. However, the answer is not turning to greek rank to bash the chapters who probably really liked you. Its not a good look. I hope that your preconceived notion of these chapters doesn't get in the way of you finding where you belong. dont post on GR about everything lol

Loser is right. Dont join a house, or do we dont care do what’s best for you. Those houses are all way too good for your attitude. if you end up joining a house you will be mortified you even thought this way enough to legitimately make this post
