A message for PNMs

PNMs!! Lists come out tomorrow and a lot of people may be upset with what they get. If you’re upset then ask yourself why. Did you just want to be in a house? Be top tier? I really hope you didn’t join Greek life to talk to frat boys because I give the PHA women way more credit that that...
Just think about why you really wanted to join. If you rushed for the superficial reasons like a house or Greek rank tiers, then you went through for the wrong reasons and 9/10 girls who do that end up not liking their sisters because they didn’t care about sisterhood they cared about what Chad said or what physical house contained them.
If you genuinely did it for sisterhood and for finding your bridesmaids, stick it out and try to make the most out of your conversations with each remaining chapter. Forget about all the rankings and reps and just see who you feel the most comfortable talking to and who makes you smile. Your lifelong best friend could be waiting on you in a chapter you didn’t want because of their imaginary rank on this site. Every chapter lives somewhere, every one has frats to interact with, every sorority will care about you and make you feel like you’re one of them if you give them the chance.
Also, never let a frat boy tell you what to do or make you feel a certain way. that’s fan behavior and we won’t have that this year

I wish I saw this freshman year. I almost dropped out of recruitment completely because I didn’t get top tiers back and I cried on bid night because I thought I was stuck in a lame chapter but honestly it worked out!!! I have friends in all tiers that like their chapters and ones that hate it. I think it really depends on how you approach it like you’re not going to have a good time or make friends if you don’t try
