So much to unpack right here.. I don’t think they hate you. Probably felt you were not a good fit for them. But I am assuming that you did get houses back? they saw something in you ! Go in knowing that they do want to talk to you. And it will be okay! All the houses are great! You will find your people.

As someone on the other side doing the rushing we probably don’t hate you. It was really hard to make cuts this year because we didn’t get to meet you so unless someone could vouch for you and knew you really well we were going off pretyped answers and instagram. For almost 2000 girls... it’s likely if i got to know you in person you’r be cool but maybe one girl mentioned a hobby that i also had or i saw she was mutuals on instagram with a bunch of people i’m friends with so i felt more inclined to pick her. Sadly rush leaves a lot of people feeling hurt but it isn’t intentional. If you’re a freshman rush again next year when things are normal and if you’re a sophomore sign up for informal or give the houses that did invite you back a shot. Also greek life isn’t the world i love it and it’s fun but i have friends outside of greek life who have just as much fun not being in it. Just make the most out of your experience at IU and have a good time whether you go greek or not. Unless you were really mean to someone and word got around or we caught you being a public concern no one hates you it just happens sometimes.

Did you get into trouble first semester The sororities get judicial reports so if your name was on there... Also, how did you answer the short answer questions. Did you just throw down a couple lines or did you write it like an essay.

Trust me we all know how much it sucks to feel rejected during this process but in the end you do need only ONE house not 22 or 16 or 9 or even 2

It really isn't personal. No one got to know the real you. Keep a positive attitude and know that it only takes one house. If the right one isn't there this year, try again next year when things should be more normal.

I got cut a lot of houses last year too first round but had my eye on the house I’m in right now all of recruitment! I thought the same thing. I think it’s cause I’m more introverted, but hey, you’ll be fine! Just trust the process
