Carmel Kids think it’s Greenwich lol

by: tough

Saw somebody say this earlier but the Carmel kids think way too highly of themselves. They don’t realize that in any other state they’d be middle class. Not to mention your paying $20k in tuition while we pay $50k lolol

Out of state kids think way too highly of themselves. you’re on the same playing field as everybody from Indiana you just pay more to go here, congrats.

Lets face it if it only costed your parents 30k/yr to live on the coasts instead of Indiana you'd have done it by now

Living in the house I’m living in, I can assure you it still costs my family MUCH more than that to live in Indiana. Indiana isn’t as cheap as you think it is in Carmel, Zionsville, and Fishers. Another reason we don’t live on the coasts is because some of our parents didn’t grow up there and some of our parents are stuck here because of their business/job. We could easily afford to move to the coast

“some of our parents didn’t grow up there” lol now I feel even worse for you. Carmel median house price (400k) is literally a THIRD of what it is in my east coast suburb. There’s levels to this. Don’t understand why the instate kids bother getting involved.

Carmel is definitely 10x nicer then Stamford and Bridgeport and if you try to tell me I couldn’t afford to live there you’re just dumb. Look up the statistics. Sure it’s not New Canaan, but I’ve lived in a suburb of Boston and live in Carmel now, not a huge difference

You act like Stamford and Bridgeport suck but last time I checked you can’t live on the water in Carmel. Sure as hell can live in a cornfield though.

East coast just breeds money. The richest kids know they're rich and don't have to let people know

East coast kids think they’re sick but if they were actually rich they’d go to Andover and be at Princeton or Wharton. As much as Carmel kids suck, if you go to IU from the upper east side or CT you’re a disappointment.

Okay, yes but that's also a different kind of rich like $100mm+ rich. That's not really the debate here.

To your other point, you could definitely make the argument. I am in Kelley & Honors and I was an average student at my high school (CT). We also excelled in athletics too, so we weren't just a bunch of nerds. People don't understand that these are the types of people from this area. Smart, accomplished, usually athletic, etc. It's kinda just the norm.

Y’all need to stop. The richest kids come from NY suburbs, LA, Chicago nice suburbs/city and STL nice suburbs. Not only do they live in wealthy areas but they also are rich enough to pay $50k a year to go here
