How many girls are signed up to rush?
by: Rush2021I heard only 1000 girls are signed up to rush is that true? And how many were signed up last year/in normal years?

Last years stats are below. Not sure how many are signed up for this year.
Total PNMs Registered for Recruitment: 1918
Total PNMs Attending Open Invite Round: 1647
Total PNM Withdrawals from Recruitment Rounds: 391
Total PNMs Participated in Bid Matching: 1253
Total PNMs that did not receive a bid (All chose to Single Intentional Preference and were not matched): 73
Total PNMs Receiving Bids: 1188
Median chapter size after recruitment: 205
Quota: 56

So does this mean that everyone who didn’t suicide bid or drop out voluntarily ended up in a sorority last year?

Yes. If you do not (SIP ie. "suicide") you got a bid. You really need to think about if you would take the bid from your other pref. If absolutely not and you want to drop out, you can do that. But, if you want to give all houses a shot, you can accept the bid and if you aren't feeling it, drop before initiation. That way you can go through again.

It is possible to be released by all sororities prior to the preference round, in which case the PNM would not end up with a bid via formal recruitment (unless they got a snap bid). Not a typical scenario.
