Do tiers mean anything
by: Fire Lord OzaiI’m a freshman should I rush a house over another because it’s at a higher tier? What places actually have fire brotherhoods?

I mean if you're tryna look for the best parties and won't really be hanging with guys in ur frat except at parties upper tier is best. As far a brotherhood goes lots of houses have great brotherhood goes regardless of tier. Do what you want. Agree with advice above of picking two houses from each tier, nobody really knows how competitive it will be so secure a bid. Pledging this semester will be a joke.

No
1. Tiers are mostly about parties and will mostly be irrelevant this year since there likely won’t be any.
2. Tiers change a lot and change fast. You never know when a house or 3 will get kicked or C&D’d into irrelevance but it happens. The tiers will probably be different even by the time you’re a junior, and if you’re not careful you might even be a geed again.
3. Tiers aren’t actually as important as this site makes them out to be. It’s likely never going to come up and you will look ridiculous bringing it up to people
