There is nothing that requires fraternities to have IU recognition. If the school is going to continue to be anti greek, then why not simply separate from the university like they do at Colorado. No more kangaroo courts or extra fees. No more Greek agreement. What benefit is there in continuing this relationship?

IU owns most of the land on North Jordan and Jordan almost none of those houses could secede

Most houses own their land, they bought it from the school years and years ago. Someone found the legal docs last year

If you’re not willing to work with the next Pres in establishing tenable relations with IU’s Greek system, why would that next Pres to work with you? The reason why things aren’t working out right now with you folks & McRobbie is on you. If you actually policed your members, held them accountable for their foul ups & followed your orgs’ bylaws & rules like you should have, he wouldn’t have to be such a bear. That’s your fault.

Why the thumbs down? You share responsibility for why things are untenable between IU’s Greek system & McRobbie, so you need to man up & admit you failed. Like I posted earlier, it’s your fault that we’ve come to such a pass. If you’re not willing to work with the next Pres & convince him/her that all Greeks at IU are not irresponsible degenerates, things will be just as before. So establish that dialogue!!
