to all of my pnms
by: IU baby
I want to wish you all ahead of time a HUGE congrats on making it to bid day! You’ve gotten this far, and not only that, you will (most likely) get to be a part of Greek life at Indiana University! That is no easy feat, and definitely one to brag about.
If I can leave you with a few words of advice, it will be this:
- If you don’t get your dream sorority tonight, still go to bid night and still go and talk to all of the girls at the chapter. So many of my friends didn’t have our chapter as their first choice, but it turned out to be the best thing to ever happen to us.
- Tiers will come up. Boys at certain frats may not want to pair with you. Remember, that’s on them and not you, because at the end of the day what matters are the friendships you make in your sorority. Plus, you can just go hang with your other guy friends, screw lame boys anyway
- The more involved you are, the more likely you’ll enjoy your sorority
- Hang with your friends in other sororities. So many girls get super divided, and it’s ridiculous. Greek life is a community, and sisters support other Greek sisters. If nothing else, encourage your sorority to do “pairs” with other sororities to make even more friends. Girl gangs are way more fun anyway!
- When you graduate from IU, make sure to keep seeing those friends of yours every year. You won’t regret it
Have fun tonight ladies!
