open letter to mcrobbie & iu

To McRobbie & everyone else in IU’s administration,

Are you members of Greek organizations? (Not were, mind you) Yes? Good. Make the effort to work with us instead of against us. After all, this is YOUR Greek system as well.

If you’re not, don’t EVER knock something that you don’t understand, much less know about. Actually make the effort to get to know the Greek system which we represent before making such kneejerk responses about who we are & what we do.

Not every man & woman wearing Greek letters is a horrible/bad person as you make them out to be. If you actually took the time to know us better, you’d realize that your judgments toward IU GLOs are wrong/completely unfounded. If you want to call people out, go after those folks in GLOs who are unhelpful to our Greek system; by engaging in hazing & other illegal behaviors which our orgs don’t tolerate, they’re perpetuating the bad impressions/stereotypes which outsiders have held towards us for ages. Don’t castigate us based on the actions of a select few.

Please hear us out for once. Stop making excuses/rationalizations for being against Greek life at IU. If you don’t even try to establish dialogue with us, Greek life at IU will cease to exist a few years from now.

Do your jobs or someone else will.
