rush as a sophomore?

by: Me

I didn’t rush this semester due to certain events in my life but I’d love to be apart of Greek life at IU. Is it common for sororities to take sophomores into their pledge class?

(Assuming this is sorority rush) yes! I got into a chapter as a sophomore. I think as long as you are honest (if you’re comfortable talking about whatever happened)- chapters are understanding of that and won’t use a year against you. At least let them know that you’re not the typical “I dropped freshman year because I didn’t like my list girl” and you’ll be fine! Just be aware of live-in requirements though and don’t make any official housing plans prior to rush because most houses have a live-in requirement even if you’re a sophomore. Hope this helps!
