They don't see who you pref so no it won't increase your chance of a bid

Bid matching goes like this: You rank your two houses and the sororities rank all the pnm's who they preffed. They do not know how you rank them so that is not considered. The computer algorithm goes down a sorority's bid list and tries to match their first choice pnm's with the ones who have also put that house first. This matching goes on until the house reaches quota. So if you match with your top choice before that house reaches quota you will get a bid there. If they get to quota before they get to you in their ranking, then the algorithm will try to match you with your second choice the same way. If you match with them before they reach quota then you will get a bid to that house. If you still don't match, then you will be placed with either house as a quota addition. If you suicide and don't match to that one house then you are out of luck and cannot be a quota addition. If you are invited to only one house and attend and put them on your card then you are getting that bid.
