Was looking at grade rankings for Gamma Phi Beta. Notice for 2017 total numbers in chapter 164 & 2018 total numbers in chapter 107.
Did they have a whole pledge class drop? What happened?

Exactly. If you want to compare how a chapter's numbers change, look from year to year. What were their numbers at the end of fall 2018, fall 2017, fall 2016, fall 2015 etc. If there is a drop from year to year it means sisters left the chapter (ie. struggling sisterhood).

I just posted this comment in another discussion but I think it would also be helpful here:
Don’t forget many girls also go abroad spring semester. These chapters may just have a lot more girls that go abroad than other chapters. This is not necesarily because girls are dropping. I am in one of the chapters listed as the biggest drop rate and we only had one senior drop. We do, however, lose over half of our junior class because they went abroad last spring and are not counted in the grade report. Please keep this in mind when looking at these statistics.

The number of those studying abroad aren't reflected in that. When you take that into consideration, it is even worse. So, for example, GPhi had 169 members in 2017, only 107 in 2018 (but only 80 that were counted for grades.) That accounts for the 27 that were studying abroad. This doesn't answer the question of why so many dropped.
