gpa used for sorority rush

by: HM

Is there any way to know which sororities are most likely to cut based on having a lower GPA? I know 2.8 is the cutoff, but I have heard that some sororities automatically cut anyone under a 3.0.

You can only get into about 1/3 of the houses with a 2.8 the rest have a 2.9 or 3.0 requirement. I know you want specifics but they change every year so it could be inaccurate. My best advice is that there are houses in every tier that have every requirement meaning there are top middle and bottom houses that require a 2.8, top middle and bottom houses that require a 2.9 and top middle and bottom houses that require a 3.0. If you’re in the 2.9 range you shouldn’t be too worried yes you’ll get cut from 3.0 requirement houses but that’s only about 7-8 of our 22. If you have less than a 2.9 please prepare for very harsh cuts right off the bat. You can still get a bid somewhere with this GPA but your options will be very limited as this category is mostly top and bottom houses and you’re likely to be cut from all the top unless you have the connections and instagram to back up your grades. I’m not saying you’ll definitely go bottom tier(nothing wrong with that I’m in a lower mid house and love it) with a 2.8 but you only have about a 33% chance of not going bottom so you should take that into consideration now and when you get the list of gpa requirements for each house. You should expect to be cut no matter what from any house you don’t meet their requirement for
