suspension looming
by: IFC InformantIFC and SLL has been discussing another suspension, this time indefinite. The Associate Dean and SLL were hoping that the suspension would have changed the atmosphere surrounding Greek Life at IU. However, in their eyes, it has not. With many houses on cease and desist currently, the school will announce this indefinite suspension in the coming weeks.

I'm shocked, shocked to find the the university's relationship with the fraternities, which is now built entirely on threats and intimidation, hasn't yielded more positive results.
If the university was interested in building a stronger and safer fraternity system as they once were at IU, they would be more proactive in working with student leaders....its unfortunate but I don't believe a stronger and safer greek system is IU's objective anymore. Expect more moving of the goal posts, more regulations, more chapters suspended and eventually death by 1000 cuts.

As much as the frat bros need to get smart and stop doing stupid chit, the Assoc. Dean and SLL need to pull their heads out of their rears. You get rid of Greek Life say goodbye to Dance Marathon and Little 500. Soon thereafter, you can kiss Kelley's reputation goodbye. Students with credentials to get into Kelley will choose somewhere else. All you'll end up with is a crappy football team and a mediocre basketball team. Good luck with that.
