top tier

If you know someone well in a top tiered sorority, how helpful is that? Like how much pull do they have in saying if you get cut or not?

It's not all that helpful. There are 120+ women in each chapter and each has an equal vote. You know someone in that chapter and so do a ton of other PNMs. It only helps if they have introduced you to the people in their pledge class prior to recruitment.
