only unhoused
by: PNMI was only asked back to unhoused chapters which I have no problem with and have been open to being in an unhoused chapter since the beginning since one has been in my top every round. I'm just nervous that they won't ask me back? Also, all the unhoused chapters seem to get so much hate or are disliked which makes me nervous as well. At first I wanted to drop but I'm going to stick it out. I was just wondering if anyone had any words of advice? I was honestly contemplating transferring and was hoping joining a sorority would make Me like IU more. Thank you!!

Stick with it! The unhoused chapters are just as involved as housed chapters. Sure they get a love of hate simply because they don't have a house which I personally think is a petty reason to hate on a chapter. ASA, TPA, and DPhiE all have amazing qualities about them. ASA was chapter of the year last year, TPA has a diverse mix of sweet girls, and DphiE's are silly, fun, and so kind, so just give each one a chance! We are all one Greek community here and I believe you will be happy and find your home on whatever chapter you end up in :)

I agree with Hey's points. Most people in Greek life are accepting of others. I think this website is an echo chamber for certain insecure people.
To add to the great points that were made:
Think about it this way, if you get a bid to any chapter at IU, you are essentially getting a golden ticket to go on the journey of a lifetime and have a bond to your sisters that is like no other. Don't you worry, all the chapters are diverse and have all sorts of girls--from the extroverts to the introverts, from the studious girls to the slackers, and from the partiers to the ones who'd rather have a quiet night in.
Why would you let some hypothetical Greek Rank poster's idea of what the world should be like keep you from cashing in your golden ticket and going on this lifetime journey of sisterhood and self-discovery?
If you were going on a trip to Germany, would you let some random internet poster's idea that "France and England are better" ruin your trip? No, you wouldn't...that'd be ridiculous.
So why let random internet posters ruin your chance at finding your place within one of the wonderful sororities at IU? If you take that doubt into your head, you will regret it, when you realize just how irrelevant and BS this website actually is.

This post is so on point I can't even.
PNM, trust that the system will place you where you are meant to be.
You said that one of the unhoused chapters has been a favorite of yours, so why not trust your gut? You know yourself and where you fit in best.
I'm in one of the unhoused chapters and have friends in other unhoused chapters. We all also love our individual chapters and are legitimately happy with where we are.
I also have friends in housed chapters. We love and respect each other and hang out and go out together. They would never think the things written on this site, and neither would most in the Greek community.
