Why is no one concerned with the fact that SK will only have a house for 2 years?? Are they going to tell PNM's that? Or just say they're going to be housed now because that's not really true or even fair to the girls. Although it will definitely matter more to the PC next year. Idk hope they tell PNM's the whole truth and don't lie to make it seem better than it is! If I were a PNM going through I would want to know that!

If I were a PNM I'd only believe something if they actually had proof it's going to happen. I know there's a lot of drama concerning SK, but regardless of chapter, I wouldn't believe them until they have actually secured land on campus and have a secure house plan.

There's proof of a lease for the next two years in phi psi, but there isn't proof that they are getting their own house on campus. If they tell you they are, or if any chapter tells you anything, make sure they also show you pictures or some kind of proof that it's happening. Chapters will do ANYTHING to get quality pnms.

I think that because SK has one of the only national housing divisions that they will always be housed here

It is true that sk only has a two year contract, but they have plans to start building a new house to have ready by the time their lease is up

Pnms will only need to leave in the house for two years anyway...most houses require two years. By the time the lease is up, the pnms would be seniors and wouldn't live in the house anyway.

part of the agreement for their chapter to recolonize at IU is getting a a house built for them on N jordan

there is no room on n jordan for a house to be built.. it may "be part of the agreement" but its literally not possible due to the fact there is no room on the road

Actually, there are two lots on Jordan available. One is where the tennis courts are, those courts are in such disrepair that IU would like to give that lot to a chapter so they don't have to renovate them. There is also a lot behind Gamma Phi facing IUPD, there are also a group of planned lots on Linglebach Lane right behind the chapters on Jordan.

There are actually 2 lots that I know of. Sigma kappa signed an agreement with iu that they will have a house promptly after lease with phi psi is over. Also it shouldn't matter to PNMS bc by senior year nobody lives in anyways, but regardless they'll have a house no problem.
