kelley standard admit rush

I will be a Kelley SA and wanting to rush but people I have talked to say that rushing kills your chances and to just wait until sophomore year. Is that accurate?

You're going to be too busy for both if you pledge and do k201 the same semester

Even if u don't pledge there's still a very good chance you won't get SA into Kelley, I did while pledging but I feel like I got kinda lucky to do so
