Is it worth it to get references for fraternity rush or would it not help much

As a former rush chair, an email or note from an alumni got you one guaranteed rush visit. I'd be sure to bring you around and give you a shot, but if you aren't cool or don't fit in an alum rec won't help you much. Sororities are a whole different ball game
