is ato still relevant/should i rush them?
by: CuriousSo I plan on rushing in the fall and I know a few guys who are in ATO and obviously they aren't an official chapter anymore due to the video. So is it worth it to rush them next fall even though they're an underground frat? Are they still relevant socially and have good sorority relations? I've also heard that they have a pretty brutal pledgeship so that's also a concern so I'm worried that might affect my grades a lot,

lo absolutely do not rush them if you want to be in a real fraternity. They're essentially just a drinking club now and no girls will go to their parties. Join a real fraternity. If you're like most guys you'll have an amazing experience in any fraternity on campus so don't get stuck over ATO, which isnt even a house anymore

ATO is not recognized by IU so they are not a fraternity. You could find much better options that are still on campus. They do not get official pairs, so the sorority girls they get are just friends of theirs. Pledgeship at most houses will absolutely affect your grades so look for a house that respects your academics

The guys are sick and if you like them a lot, join. You'll have a fun time no matter what. You should join a house you really think you belong in whether they are housed or not. Yeah you'll miss out on some of the things greeklife has to offer but what matters most in the end is the bond you have with your chapter as cheesy as it sounds. Partied a lot with ato last year and they still kill it. All the good sororities love them too so they have a really active Social life anyways

It isn't a matter of whether they're housed or not they don't even exist as a fraternity anymore. If you want to be a pet of Greek life join an actual frat
