is GPA really an important part of rush? Can some sororities look over it if your GPA is slightly below their standards?

No. High school grades don't mean anything. HOWEVER if you are a sophmore your freshman year grades do count. And as a member you will need to keep your GPA above a certain point.

if your GPA is below their standards coming in they may overlook it, but if you don't get them up after you're initiated they can terminate you for not meeting their standards and expectations of membership. hopefully they'll do whatever they can to help you get your grades up before they drop you but every house is different and some are more supportive and "sisterly" than most.

Some houses cannot extend a bid to girls who don't meet their minimum GPA.

just lie... I always said i had like a 3.8 when in fact i had near a 2.0
