sophomore rush
by: HiI’m gonna become a sophomore this spring (started last spring). Will I still have a chance to get in a good fraternity or will most of the better ones not accept non freshman?

If you already know people from either last spring or this fall that are in whatever house you want to rush, that definitely gives you an edge over all the other people walking through the house during that week. With that being said, all the houses have the same criteria as when they took pledges in the fall but since there are less people going out to rush in the spring, pledge classes tend to be smaller. Some houses want numbers though, so they will still give out the same amount of bids in the fall but are more lax about who they give bids to.

Hey thanks for the serious answer. Do you think that being a sophomore (first semester soph) will hinder my chances? Especially if I want to rush a "top tier" house?
