Campbell University - CU Overview

  About Greek Life at CU

Campbell University is a mid-size Baptist-affiliated school in Buies Creek, North Carolina — a small town about an hour south of Raleigh. The campus has a close-knit feel, and the Greek community here reflects that. It's a smaller system with a handful of fraternities and sororities, so you're looking at a more intimate setup compared to big state schools.

On the fraternity side, IFC chapters include Kappa Alpha Order, Kappa Sigma, and Phi Delta Theta. Panhellenic is represented by Alpha Delta Pi, Delta Phi Epsilon, and Sigma Alpha Omega. There's no NPHC or MGC presence listed at this time, so the Greek scene here runs primarily through those two councils.

Recruitment at a school this size tends to be pretty low-key compared to what you'd see at a large university. Formal rush exists, but it's not the massive, week-long production you might picture. With fewer chapters and a smaller student body, the process is more personal — you get to actually know the people you're considering joining.

Campbell's identity is shaped heavily by its faith-based roots, and that culture carries into campus life broadly. Greek organizations here tend to emphasize service, brotherhood and sisterhood, and community involvement. Philanthropy events are a regular part of how chapters stay active and visible on campus.

Chapter housing at Campbell isn't quite like what you'd find at a big SEC or ACC school. Most chapters don't have large standalone houses — social events and chapter functions tend to happen in designated spaces on or near campus rather than on a traditional Greek Row.

Greek life isn't the dominant social force on campus the way it might be at larger schools, but it does carve out a real presence. For students who join, it's often one of the more significant parts of their college experience given how tight the broader campus community already is.
