Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity

Posted on here a couple days ago, I'm a high school senior from West Palm hoping to major in aerospace and minor in CS and I want to rush and I love the party scene.

Does anyone know anything about Theta Tau, the professional co-ed engineering fraternity? How much different is it from IFC chapters? I'm just very concerned that fall 2025 may be a bad semester to rush due to what's going on rn and I'm thinking about alternatives.

Do what you want but IFC fraternities are for fun, philo and philanthropy. They are not specifically for academics.

get off greekrank. when you get to ucf make a point to talk to members of different orgs and decide where is the best fit for you

ifc frats are not for gpa. we don’t rank on gpa or value gpa unless you’re below requirement. it’s been like that for ages. if that’s important to you some fraternities value gpa like fiji and tke. most don’t. if you want academic focused frats you can do the theta tau one. i’m in a panhellenic sorority and a major focused sorority. u can do both 🩷 good luck

Go IFC if you want to have a real frat experience instead of a club
