ranks are a combination of things most heavily weighted in popularity and looks because we are ranking people not chapters

bc popularity is real and alive and relevant. if ur chapter isn’t popular u don’t have the hate on chapters who are. and it’s mostly popularity but not only popularity. success is a factor. if it were JUST popularity fiji, AXiD, ZBT, Kappa Sig, SAE, DU would all have different placements.

In regards to looks/personality i think as a Greek community as a whole, this is a metric that facilitates no one ever moving in ranks really. Regardless of how attractive or not attractive an “upper” organization’s PC is the chapter will always be looked at through the lense engrained into all of us before we even rushed our organizations, perhaps ranks or reputations decided a decade ago before we were even at ucf to begin.
This rank system decentivises chapters working hard to move up the ladder as it’s near impossible.
That’s just my two sense though. Tell me if I’m incorrect

reps change but I understand your comment to. ranks change slowly. years ago phidelt was a very respected top frat and kappa sig were respected too. theta chi used to be upper mid and not highly respected at all. they had to recruit well and push for socials to move.

This is why we should keep bumping the post with 7 -8 different things ranked. It shows where everyone is strong. But, yeah, why can’t that just be the standard post? I don’t know why people don’t want to help all Greeks feel good about where they excel.
