I have to say that while I personally would love to encourage trans representation in pan, it would likely not be a very healthy environment. I'm very sorry about the transphobic people telling you to rush frats, but they're showing their true colors. There are other greek organizations at UCF that are technically just RSOs and not part of NPC that tend to be healthier environments for LGBTQ+ expression and I would encourage looking at them on KnightConnect!
At the end of the day it's your college experience and it's up to you to choose your path. I hope you find your home.

as a lesbian in a sorority here, i don’t discourage trans girls from joining a sorority bc you absolutely could find a super welcoming sisterhood and im not trans but see how that could feel super validating to be in a group that’s just for women and be completely accepted there! it is possible that you could find that, and even tho it’s def not the majority, ik many girls in pan who are in the lgbtq+ community! however just pls pls pls be aware that recruitment can be mentally awful for so many girls just in general, and being trans on top of that could make it a much worse experience. you don’t ever know the reason why a chapter dropped you so you could end up thinking that this or that was the reason and feel bad about yourself for it, when you literally will never know the actual reason you didn’t get asked back. plus if you’re talking to a girl who is transphobic, of course you would know that’s not the chapter for you, but also it could be an uncomfortable experience for you and i’d hate for anyone to have to experience discrimination while just trying to find their sisterhood. for that reason, I’d maybe consider doing research on the sororities here and see if any of the ones you’d feel safe and could see yourself in are doing informal spring recruitment! it’s a much more chill process and way less stress! if you don’t get into any, ik that could feel absolutely awful but pls know that it doesn’t mean you’re any less of a girl. you deserve to have a safe welcoming group of girls to have a close sisterhood with! also look into the non-panhellenic sororities here which are even more accepting. there are also so many resources for students in the lgbtq+ community here, i encourage you to also go to pride commons and the events held by the pride student association, lgbtq+ services, lavender council, out and active, ostem, and any others I might be missing! you’ll find a safe space and so many accepting people in the same community which is so important to have as well! no matter what you decide to do or how things go, i hope you find a group where you feel accepted, validated, and happy to be a part of! 💗

For their safety? I think she meant for their mental well being.
