Kind of both. Generally the girls who you are initiated with are the same girls that joined the day you joined. That's your pledge class. Not a lot of people drop out during their new member period. Most people drop out their sophomore year.

Yeah, it's not that a lot of them drop out of the sorority, a lot of them drop out of school or transfer. It's a combination of a lot of things.

Sorry, another question..Is your pledge class the group of girls that were initiated that year or the group of girls that received a bid? I don't really know many people in Greek life so I get confused by a lot of the terms! I'm thinking of going through rush but I'm still on the fence. Do a lot of people drop out after receiving a bid and before getting initiated? Thanks.
